The guide
Travel data, made simpler.
What an eSIM is, how to choose a plan and what to check before you fly.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into a compatible phone. A travel eSIM lets you add a data plan without replacing your usual physical SIM. Installation and activation vary by provider.
Check your phone first
Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. Check your provider's compatibility information and installation instructions before buying.
How much data do I need?
We estimate 0.3 GB per day for light use, 0.8 GB for everyday use and 2 GB for heavy use. Streaming, video calls and hotspot use can change this considerably.
How we compare
Plans are ranked by cost per GB by default. You can sort by total price or validity. We estimate trip data from days and your selected usage. Roaming examples multiply a daily sample rate by trip days; actual conditions differ by carrier.
Current prices and plan features are generated sample data. They are not real offers or verified carrier rates. Check directly with a provider before buying.
